Ito's Nevus
Conception
Nevus of Ito is with similar features to the Nevus of Ota, but occurring in the distribution of the acromial deltoid muscle.
Clinical feature
1. brown, blue, black;
2. Pigmentation as a patch on the shoulder or
upper arms;
3. No relation with season and sunshine.
4. Dose not elevated on the skin and is glabrous, unilateral, no symptoms, no self healing tendency;
Histopathology
Nevus of Ito is caused by abnormally increased dermal melanocyte which contains a large number of melanin.
Method of treatment
Because Nevus of Ito is a dermal melanocytic lesion, so Q-Switched ND:YAG laser is the first choice.
