Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser
Pmise QN-06
- Cost effective.
- Portable and smart design.
- The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser radiates the light with a specific wavelength in high peak energy pulse, hence the light penetrates the tissue only for an ultra-short nanosecond.
- The pigment particles are shattered into fragments, parts of them will be bounced out of the skin and other parts will be split into tiny particles that can be engulfed by phagocytes and then metabolized by the lymphatic system.
Overview
The Pmise QN-06 is a compact Q-switched Nd:YAG laser built for tattoo removal and the treatment of common pigmented lesions in professional aesthetic and dermatology settings. It delivers light in ultra-short nanosecond pulses at two wavelengths, so a single platform can target both surface and deeper pigment. This is professional equipment intended to be operated by trained clinicians who set parameters to each patient and skin type.
QN-06 belongs to the wider Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser line and is designed with distributors and busy clinics in mind: light in weight, quick to move between rooms, and simple to run day to day. It suits practices that want a dependable pigment and tattoo device without the footprint of a larger system.
For a deeper look at how this class of device is used in tattoo work, see our guide on the Q-switched tattoo removal machine and our tattoo removal solution overview.
How It Works
QN-06 works on the principle of selective photothermolysis, first described by Anderson and Parrish in 1983. The idea is simple in practice: deliver energy fast enough and at a wavelength the target pigment absorbs strongly, so heat builds in the pigment particle before it can spread to surrounding skin. Because the Q-switched pulse lasts only nanoseconds, the pigment is heated and fragmented while the tissue around it stays comparatively protected.
Once the pigment is shattered into much smaller fragments, the body does the rest. Some particles are lifted out through the skin surface, while the finer fragments are taken up by phagocytes and gradually cleared through the lymphatic system over the weeks that follow.
The dual-wavelength design is what makes this approach flexible. Longer wavelengths penetrate deeper into skin, while shorter wavelengths are absorbed more strongly by superficial pigment. The 1064nm output is therefore suited to darker, deeper ink and dermal pigment, and the 532nm output is aimed at brighter, more superficial marks. A continuously adjustable spot and a red aiming beam let the operator place energy accurately, and the nanosecond pulse keeps the interaction photomechanical rather than a slow thermal burn.
Applications
QN-06 is used by trained operators for a range of pigment and tattoo indications. Clinical outcomes vary with pigment type, depth, skin type and the number of sessions, so results should be discussed with each patient rather than guaranteed.
- Tattoo removal across common ink colours including black, blue, brown and red
- Tattooed eyeliner and eyebrow correction
- Pigmented lesions such as sunspots, age spots, freckles, nevus and Mongolian spots
- Selected dermal pigment concerns handled at the operator's discretion
- Laser toning style facial treatments for a more even, refreshed skin tone
It suits clinics, medical spas and distributors serving them who need a focused, portable pigment and tattoo device rather than a large multi-application platform. See our pigmentation treatment solution for lesion-focused use.

FAQ
What can the QN-06 treat?
It is used for tattoo removal in common ink colours and for pigmented lesions such as sunspots, age spots, freckles and nevus, as well as laser toning facials. The dual 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths let a trained operator address both deeper and more superficial pigment. Suitability always depends on the individual patient and should be assessed before treatment.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers are widely used across a range of skin tones, but settings must be matched to each patient's skin type and pigment. Darker skin in particular calls for conservative parameters and operator experience. A patch test and a proper consultation help lower the risk of side effects, so the device should only be run by trained clinicians.
How many sessions are needed?
Pigment and tattoos rarely clear in one visit. Multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart are normal, since the body needs time to clear fragmented pigment between treatments. The exact number depends on ink depth and colour, lesion type, skin type and the response seen along the way, so plans are set case by case rather than promised in advance.
What about training and warranty?
QN-06 is professional equipment, and we provide operating documentation and training support so your team can run it safely and get consistent results. Warranty terms and OEM options are available for distributors and clinics. Contact us with your market and use case and we will confirm current warranty coverage and support arrangements.
