The Pmise MF-07 works on the principle of selective photothermolysis: light at chosen wavelengths is preferentially absorbed by a target such as melanin in hair and pigment, or haemoglobin in small blood vessels, then converts to heat that damages the target while sparing surrounding tissue. The IPL handpiece uses interchangeable filters so the operator can shape the emitted spectrum toward hair removal, vascular lesions, or skin rejuvenation rather than treating every indication with the same light.

What makes the E-light approach effective is that IPL is combined with bipolar RF. IPL heats the pigmented or vascular target, and RF adds electrical energy that heats water in the surrounding tissue.
