Overview

The Pmise VF-03 is a high-frequency vascular device built for the professional removal of superficial vascular lesions such as facial telangiectasia, spider veins, and cherry angiomas. It belongs to Pmise's High Frequency for Vessel Diseases line and is designed for clinics, medi-spas, and distributors who need a precise, point-based tool for small dilated vessels that are hard to treat with broad light sources.

Instead of flooding an area with light, the VF-03 delivers a controlled high-frequency current through an ultra-fine treatment tip placed on the target vessel. This lets a trained operator work vessel by vessel, which is well suited to the fine, mapped red lines and dots that patients most often want cleared from the cheeks, nose, and chin.

The device offers continuous and pulsed working modes so the operator can match output to the size and depth of each lesion. For background on the conditions it addresses, see our guide to facial telangiectasia and spider veins.

How It Works

The VF-03 works by high-frequency thermocoagulation. When the fine treatment tip contacts a dilated capillary, the high-frequency current heats the vessel so that hemoglobin and the endothelial cells lining the vessel wall coagulate, and the vessel is sealed on the spot. The coagulated target tissue is then gradually sloughed off over the following days as the skin recovers.

The rationale for high frequency is precision. A very small tip footprint concentrates energy at a single point, so the operator can close a target vessel while limiting heat spread into the surrounding skin. This point-contact approach is a good fit for superficial, well-defined vessels where a broad light beam would treat far more tissue than needed.

The idea of heating a vascular target selectively so the vessel takes the thermal effect while nearby structures are spared follows the same selective-thermal-damage principle described by Anderson and Parrish (1983). The VF-03 applies that principle through direct high-frequency current rather than light, which is why it is often chosen for the fine, isolated vessels seen in single telangiectasis cases.

Applications

The VF-03 is intended for trained operators treating small, superficial vascular and related surface lesions. Typical applications include:

  • Facial telangiectasia and spider veins on the cheeks, nose, and chin
  • Cherry angiomas and other small superficial vascular spots
  • Isolated dilated capillaries and fine red lines
  • Selected minor benign surface bumps such as milia and small skin tags
  • Some superficial pigmented spots such as age spots and sunspots

It suits dermatology and aesthetic clinics, medi-spas, and vascular-focused treatment rooms that want a targeted, per-vessel tool alongside their light-based systems. Related vascular concerns are covered in our hemangioma solution page.

Key Advantages

  • Point-precise treatment: an ultra-fine tip lets the operator target one vessel at a time, helping protect the surrounding epidermis.
  • Two working modes: continuous and pulsed output let the operator adapt to lesion size and depth for more comfort and control.
  • Steady output: consistent high-frequency delivery supports repeatable results across a treatment session.
  • Efficient workflow: many small vessels can be sealed in a single visit, with coagulated tissue clearing over the following days.
  • Versatile scope: beyond vessels, it can address selected small benign surface lesions and superficial pigment.
  • Built as professional equipment for continuous clinic use, intended to be operated only by trained practitioners.

FAQ

What conditions is the VF-03 best for?

It is designed for small, superficial vascular lesions such as facial telangiectasia, spider veins, and cherry angiomas, plus selected minor benign surface bumps and some superficial pigmented spots. It works vessel by vessel, so it is most useful for fine, well-defined targets rather than large diffuse redness across a whole area.

Is it suitable for all skin types?

Because treatment is delivered point by point through a fine tip rather than by broad light, it can be used across a range of skin tones. Suitability still depends on the individual lesion and skin condition, so a trained operator should assess each patient and perform a test area before a full session.

How many sessions are needed?

Many small vessels can be sealed in a single visit, and treated tissue typically clears over the following days. Results vary with the number, size, and depth of lesions, so some patients return for follow-up sessions. A practitioner sets expectations after assessing the specific case.

Is training or warranty support included?

The VF-03 is professional equipment meant to be used only by trained operators, and correct technique matters for both safety and results. Pmise provides operator guidance and standard warranty support. Please contact our team for current training, warranty terms, and applicable certification details for your market.
