Overview

The Pmise QN-02 is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser built for the professional removal of tattoos and unwanted pigment. It fires the beam in ultra-short nanosecond pulses at two wavelengths, so a trained operator can shatter tattoo ink and melanin clusters while sparing the skin around them. It belongs to our Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser line and is aimed at aesthetic clinics, dermatology practices, and distributors serving them.

Where creams and abrasive methods struggle with pigment buried under the surface, the QN-02 reaches ink and pigment particles directly and breaks them into fragments the body can clear over a course of sessions. The 1064nm and 532nm outputs cover both deep and shallow targets, from dark blue-black tattoos to surface sunspots and freckles. If you are researching this category before buying, our guide on the Q-switched tattoo removal machine explains how the technology behaves in real clinic use.

How It Works

The QN-02 works on the photoacoustic, or light-blasting, principle. Its Q-switched cavity packs energy into pulses only nanoseconds long, which produces a very high peak power in each shot. When that light meets a tattoo pigment or a cluster of melanin, the target absorbs it almost instantly and heats faster than it can pass that heat to the tissue around it. The outcome is a rapid mechanical shockwave that fractures the pigment into tiny particles. Some are pushed out through the skin surface, and the rest are engulfed by phagocytes and carried away by the lymphatic system over the weeks that follow.

Two wavelengths give the operator range. The 1064nm near-infrared beam penetrates more deeply and suits darker, deeper ink, while the frequency-doubled 532nm green light is absorbed strongly by red and brown pigment closer to the surface. Longer wavelengths travel deeper into skin, which is why a dual-output device can address both shallow and deep targets from one platform. Concentrating the right wavelength and a short pulse on a chosen target so heat stays where it is wanted is the selective photothermolysis principle described by Anderson and Parrish in 1983. A homogeneous, flat-top beam spot spreads the energy evenly across the treated area instead of peaking in the middle, which helps keep the effect uniform and reduces the chance of hot spots.

Applications

The QN-02 is professional equipment operated by trained clinicians. Its main uses are tattoo removal and the lightening of benign pigmented lesions, with laser toning as a secondary application.

  • Tattoos in black, blue, brown, red, and mixed colors, addressed through our tattoo removal solution
  • Cosmetic tattoo such as eyeliner and eyebrow pigment
  • Benign pigmented lesions including sunspots, age spots, and freckles, as well as nevus of Ota on suitable settings
  • Laser toning and skin rejuvenation: helping to soften fine lines, refine the look of pores, and improve overall tone

It suits aesthetic and dermatology clinics and the distributors who supply them. Whether a given patient and indication are appropriate, including skin type and any contraindications, should be assessed by the treating clinician before a session.

Key Advantages

  • Dual wavelength coverage: 1064nm reaches deeper, darker ink while 532nm handles red and brown pigment nearer the surface, so one platform covers a wide range of targets.
  • Nanosecond pulsing: the ultra-short pulse delivers a high peak power that shatters pigment mechanically with less heat spilling into nearby skin.
  • Homogeneous flat-top spot: energy is spread evenly across the treated area for more uniform results and fewer hot spots.
  • Adjustable spot size: a spot adjustor lets the operator match the beam to the lesion or tattoo, from fine detail to broader areas.
  • Strong cooling system: designed to keep the laser stable through long working sessions in a busy clinic.
  • Operator-friendly interface: a clear control layout intended for doctors and aesthetic staff, with an articulated arm for precise positioning.

FAQ

What can the QN-02 treat?

Its core uses are removing tattoos in a range of colors and lightening benign pigment such as sunspots, age spots, and freckles. It is also applied to laser toning and skin rejuvenation on suitable settings. Because it is professional equipment, the treating clinician decides whether a particular patient and indication are appropriate before any session begins.

Is it safe for different skin types?

Q-switched Nd:YAG is used across a range of Fitzpatrick skin types, and the 1064nm wavelength is generally considered friendlier for darker skin because it interacts less with surface melanin. Even so, safety depends on correct settings, cooling, and operator technique. Every patient should be assessed individually and contraindications ruled out by the clinician before treatment.

How many sessions are needed?

Tattoo and pigment work is almost always a course rather than a single visit, since the body needs time to clear the shattered particles between sessions. The number and spacing depend on ink type, depth, color, and how the skin responds. The treating clinician should plan the schedule based on results seen over time.

What about training and warranty?

As a professional laser device, the QN-02 is meant to be run by trained staff, so we provide operator guidance and documentation with each unit. Warranty length, spare-part availability, and after-sales support are confirmed at the time of order. Please contact our team for current terms and training options in your region.
