Overview

The CF-01 is a fractional CO2 laser built for professional skin resurfacing and scar revision in clinics and medical aesthetic practices. It emits infrared light at 10600nm and delivers it as a grid of microscopic treatment spots, which lets trained operators treat wrinkles, acne and surgical scars, stretch marks and photo-aged skin while leaving most of the surrounding tissue intact for faster recovery.

Unlike ordinary sealed glass-tube CO2 units, the CF-01 uses an RF-excited metal laser tube. This gives a more stable and uniform beam over a longer service life, which matters for busy treatment rooms that run daily sessions. How It Works

The CF-01 works on the principle of selective photothermolysis, the idea that a laser wavelength absorbed strongly by a target tissue can heat that target while sparing what is around it. At 10600nm the target chromophore is water, which is abundant throughout the skin. The scanner delivers the beam as separated microscopic columns rather than one continuous sheet of energy.

Inside each treated spot the energy causes controlled ablation together with a zone of thermal coagulation, forming a micro-channel on the order of a tenth of a millimetre. Because the spots are fractional, healthy tissue sits between them and acts as a bridge that starts the natural wound-healing cascade: an inflammatory phase, a proliferative phase and a remodeling phase. During remodeling the skin lays down new collagen, which is what tightens the surface and gradually improves scars and pigment.

Adjustable pulse width lets the operator match the pulse to the thermal relaxation time of different skin layers, balancing collagen contraction against unwanted heat spread. An adjustable focal spot changes the ablation depth: a larger spot gives shallower peeling, a smaller spot reaches deeper. What conditions is the CF-01 used for?

It is used mainly for fractional skin resurfacing: wrinkles, acne and surgical scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, epidermal pigment and photo-aged skin. In continuous-wave and UltraPulse modes it also handles minor cosmetic-surgery tasks such as removing small skin tags, warts and nevi. A trained clinician should confirm each indication and rule out contraindications first.

Which skin types can be treated?

Fractional CO2 can be applied across a range of skin types, but darker skin carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory pigment change. The adjustable spot size, density and pulse width let the operator lower energy and spacing for higher-risk patients. How many sessions are usually needed?
