Overview

The Pmise SA-02 is a professional skin analyzer system built for aesthetic clinics, dermatology practices, and beauty distributors that need an objective, repeatable way to assess facial skin before and after treatment. It captures high-resolution facial images under three separate light modes and turns them into clear reports on pores, sebum, wrinkles, pigmentation, moisture, elasticity, and skin tone.

Instead of relying on the naked eye, the SA-02 gives operators standardized visual evidence they can show clients, making consultations more convincing and treatment planning more accurate. It is diagnostic imaging equipment, not a treatment device, and it is intended for use by trained skincare professionals.

The SA-02 belongs to the wider Skin Analyzer System line. For a walkthrough of how analysis data feeds into a client protocol, see our guide on skin analyzer treatment planning.

How It Works

The SA-02 works by imaging the same face under three different lighting conditions and comparing what each one reveals. Because different skin features absorb and reflect light differently, no single view tells the whole story, so the system combines them.

  • RGB (standard visible light, roughly 400 to 700 nm): shows surface conditions the way a client sees them, such as visible pores, redness, and rough texture.
  • PL (polarized light): cuts surface glare so the operator can look past shine into texture, fine wrinkles, and vascular tone.
  • UV (ultraviolet, in the 200 to 400 nm band): works on the same principle as a Wood's lamp, using fluorescence to highlight sub-surface pigmentation, sebum distribution, and porphyrin-related activity that visible light misses.

An automatic lens switching system moves between these modes so RGB, PL, and UV images are captured in close registration on the same area. Automatic localization keeps the framing consistent from one session to the next, which is what makes before-and-after comparison meaningful. The software then measures the captured images and scores each concern, giving the operator quantified, side-by-side results rather than a subjective impression.

Applications

The SA-02 is suited to any professional setting that needs a documented starting point before recommending or evaluating a course of care.

  • Analysis of pores, sebum, and surface texture
  • Assessment of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Detection and tracking of pigmentation and uneven tone
  • Testing of skin moisture and elasticity
  • Measurement of overall skin color and brightness
  • Cosmetic and product testing for visible change over time
  • Consultation support and before-and-after documentation

It fits medical aesthetic clinics, dermatology and skincare practices, spas, and cosmetic brands running product trials. Because output is comparative and objective, it also helps distributors demonstrate value to their own end clients.

Key Advantages

  • Triple-spectrum imaging: RGB, polarized light, and UV modes together reveal both surface and sub-surface conditions that a single view would miss.
  • Moisture and cosmetic testing: built-in moisture analysis and product-testing functions extend the system beyond simple photography.
  • Automatic lens switching and localization: consistent framing and registered multi-mode capture make repeat sessions genuinely comparable.
  • High-resolution capture: a 12-megapixel sensor with real-time preview keeps shooting, transmitting, and analyzing smooth and fast.
  • Practice-friendly build: a compact, portable unit running on standard AC 100 to 220 V mains, so it drops into most treatment rooms without special installation.
  • Better consultations: objective, visual reports build client trust and support clear, evidence-based recommendations.

FAQ

What skin concerns can the SA-02 assess?

It analyzes pores, sebum, texture, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin tone, and it tests moisture and elasticity. Using RGB, polarized, and UV imaging together, it surfaces both what is visible on the surface and what sits just beneath it, giving the operator a fuller picture than the naked eye can provide.

Is the SA-02 suitable for all skin types?

Yes. As an imaging and measurement system it captures and scores skin condition across the full range of Fitzpatrick skin types. It does not apply any energy to the skin, so it carries none of the tone-related cautions that light-based treatment devices do. The operator simply interprets the results per client.

Does it treat skin, or only analyze it?

The SA-02 is a diagnostic and assessment tool only. It does not deliver any treatment. Its role is to document the starting condition, guide which professional treatments may be suitable, and track visible change over a course of care. Any actual treatment is chosen and performed separately by a trained operator.

What about training, safety, and warranty?

The SA-02 is professional equipment intended for trained skincare and clinic staff. It is a portable Class I electrical device designed to standard mains safety requirements. Pmise provides operating guidance, software support, and warranty terms with each unit. Contact your distributor or our team for current warranty length and training options in your market.
